Hi everyone,

I have a W2k server with 2 internal modems (com3 and com4)
One modem i use for receiving faxes. The other I want to use for remote
access. My problems is that the modem to receive faxes is also configured as
"listening" for RAS and RAS answers also incoming faxes. How can I disable
this fax modem from RAS and dedicate this modem only to answer faxes.

All help appreciated

Thanks,

Jef

Are both modems on the same phone line or does each have it's own
dedicated line? If both are on the same line it isn't going to work
because neither modem can tell if the incomming call is a fax or a RAS
user so both will try to pick up. In short you'll need two(2) phone
lines.

And if he already figured that out, he can also unbind RAS from the adapter he
wants to reserve for incoming fax service....
