I was previously using the macro "recorder" in windows 3.11 for this
purpose.
Where is it in the upgrade?
Did they downgrade?
I've been told that you can use the old 3.x macro recorder as long as you
avoid using the mouse for movements and stick with the keyboard equivalents.
Not tried it myself though.
Hope this helps.

Kinda! They didn't include a macro recorder in Win9x.
Try out Macro Scheduler at http://www.mjtnet.com/. This is designed for
Win9x/NT and allows you to record and playback macros, build scripts and edit
recorded macros. You can schedule the macros you create, or assign them to
keyboard shortcuts and windows shortcuts.

There are quite a few shareware/freeware recorder type applications
available for Windows 95 and 98 that vary widely in quality and
functionality. When choosing a program that executes essentially as a part
of the operating system you should look for a product with a history of
expertise in this area that is published by an established company. Many
shareware/freeware authors support their software well but few employ
fulltime technicians to support you should you have questions or problems.
The product that I use is QuicKeys by CE Software. CE has over 10 years
experience developing macro/automation software for Windows, DOS and
Macintosh. Their technical support is outstanding and the overall quality
of the software is high as is to be expected with professionally developed,
commercial-grade software. They offer a 30-day demo of the product on their
website at http://www.cesoft.com/ to evaluate. The best price I've found on
the web is offered by BuySoft.com at this link:
