AVG8 and iTunes

I've been using AVG8 antivirus for months with no problems. Suddenly,
it started finding literally
hundreds of trojans in my iTunes program directory. I thought
something had infected iTunes,
so I uninstalled it completely. However, when I tried to reinstall it,
AVG started finding
"infected files" straight from the iTunes setup file. In then end, I
gave up and switched
from AVG to AVAST, which has no complaints.

Has anyone else had this problem, or know what it's all about?

Thanks,
jc

You posted here:
microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage
comp.os.ms-windows.misc

Microsoft Windows/Windows XP (in one case - configuration and managing)
newsgroups...

... and asked about these two applications:
AVG AntiVirus
Apple iTunes

Neither of which have to to with Microsoft or Windows/Windows XP other than
they both can be used on said platform.

It would seem your issue is actually with AVG - what do you get from the
support there? It is more likely those knowledgable on the subject at hand
(AVG) would be there than here.

Good luck!

I'd personally suggest Avira right now.

It seems that AVG is at fault.
