First of all, I've trimmed your badly cross-posted list addresses to
only those that are relevant to the question. (Tell me, have you found that
being rude and insulting gets you the type of results you want? You'll
certainly get the results you deserve.)
Anyway, if you had taken the time to read the box your mouse came in,
you'd have known that the minimum system requirements for your mouse are
Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4 SP3. It says right on the box that
it will function only as a standard 2-button mouse with Windows 3.1. There
are no drivers written to support Win3x.
I Quote:

Thank you. :)

(It seems only way to get response on Usenet nowadays, even then the
majority of response is by people who either 1. misunderstand the
question, or 2. quote the obvious, or 3. get wound up.)
here's an example of No. 2.

With Win 3.1 here on my machine I can now zoom, or assign middle button
to other functions. "These 3 Words" can be enlarged to half the size
of this vdu screen by clicking wheel down, any other button to cancel)
And No.2 again:

<snipped>
and here's No.3

My MS wheel mouse now works PROPERLY on 3.1, how is that 'stupid'?
I'm certainly not stupid enough to beleive unconditionally what I hear
on Usenet, Microsoft (god?) and all those who repeat all what they read
without checking as if it's some kind of RELIGION.
(excuse me, I'm just going to pray to the god of VDU screens...)
That just proves (once again) that once people become indoctrinated
into the Windows 4 (oh, excuse me, 95) religion, they can no longer
think for themselves - they let Bill take care of that.

A4 Tech ('since 1987') http://www.a4tech.com still make their Win 3.1
compatible wheel scrolling mouse with drivers specifically for Win3.1
and later. ALL drivers support all Wheel, Zoom & other middle button
functions without any 'engineered' OS limitations. It is hardware
interchangeable with Microsoft's 'intellimouse' version of the Serial
Wheel Mouse.

Loads of people beleive that Microsoft invented the Wheel mouse and as
such it is only available on Win 98, and reduced functionality on '95.
