Remote Desktop To PC On Home LAN?

Seems like I was able to do this at one time, but not having any
luck right now.

Fire up Remote Desktop, tell it to look for available PCs, and on
one box it just presents an empty "Available computers" dialog.
On the other box that same dialog as an icon for my home work
group. When I try to expand the icon, it says "The 303
domain/workgroup does not contain any Terminal servers."
Any chance of getting a connection?
My agenda is that I'm building a DTV server and I want it to live
in a wiring closet with no monitor or keyboard attached.
