I have a client who wants to put in a sound card - I am currently
recommending SoundBlaster 16 (cheap and reliable!), but she is
thinking of an SB 32AWE. Does this card work any better under Win95?
Any sound advice gratefully received, either here or in email.
Thanks.

If the client can wait 4 months, Creative Labs has promised
to have Plug and Play sound cards available at the same time
Win 95 is released, not 90 days later as most hardware and
software developers have planned. Undoubtedly, Windows 95
can install proper drivers for all the Sound Blaster cards
now so making the sound card work at this time is not the
problem, but having a Win-95-configurable sound card might
be worth hours of frustration later when another device is
installed after the sound card. Just a thought.

I am using a SPEA V7 MediaFX. W95 had no problems recoginzing the card and the
16bit drivers.
