Landmark Software Package Deals

My appologies if this is being posted a second time, but I suspect my
outgoing news was down yesterday so I'm attempting to re-post from
another system.

If anyone is interested, I got a call this past week from a guy I know
who works for Landmark Research International Corp. down in Clearwater,
Florida. He gave me some advance notice on a package deal they are
offering on some of their most popular software (descriptions below):
DataSafe (brand new), Uninstall-It (new), WinProbe v3.0,
CD Certify, DOS for Windows and INIExpert.

I ordered it and it's well worth the $199 price tag for DataSafe, WinProbe
and Uninstall-It alone, with the other three pieces of software as gravy.
So I'll pass the info and his number along in case anyone else is has any

Product Descriptions:

DataSafe Crashproofs Windows by intercepting Windows fatal error
fault handlers, allowing the user to recover and save
data, document the error and troubleshoot the error to
the point of understanding exactly what happened and how
to prevent it from happening again. (This package alone
was being offered at a special price of $129.)
This product is especially helpful if you are writing or
testing Windows applications programs.

Uninstall-It Like MicroHelp's Uninstaller 1 and 2 products, this utility
completely removes all traces of unwanted programs and
Windows applications from a system to free up memory and
disk space, and boost performance. In addition to this,
it provides Backup and Restore capabilities, the ability
to move Windows programs without losing references and/or
properties, finds and deletes duplicate files and uninstalls
or restores "stray" programs and references.

WinProbe v3.0 Latest version of one of their most popular diagnostic and
performance boosting utilities. Helps optimize system and
Windows resources, resolves setup conflicts, clean and
edit of INI files, Windows and Group file tune-ups, finds
duplicate files, saves/compares/restores key system (INI)
files, troubleshoots MMD sound cards and CD-Roms with over
1000 system information parameters.

CD Certify Diagnostics, System Information (i.e., capacity of disk,
version/extension used by drive, driver, cache present and
size of cache,etc.), performance benchmark (take it to the
store and test the drives you are interested in), and
various bonus utilities make up this package.

DOS For Windows The only fully functioning, scalable window that looks and
feels like DOS. Runs all the latest DOS commands and cap-
abilities (including internal commands, redirects, pipes and
batch files), while allowing you to resize, scroll and double-
click start apps displayed anywhere on the screen just like
any other window.

INIExpert Basically, an INI file editor and debugger.

Other Landmark Products include PC Probe and KickStart 1 and 2 (both are
PC and motherboard diagnostic tools), the famous Landmark Benchmark Speed
Test, AlignIt (Floppy diagnostic utility) and PC Certify (automatic PC
troubleshooter -- I use this one alot), and an extensive selection of Pro-
fessional level PC troubleshooting software, ROMs and kits. All products

and I can say from my dealings with them in the past that they are very
knowledgable and helpful.

Rubbish, there are a number of DOS for Windows shells around that do more
than this program does. Try CICA at ftp.cica.indiana.edu in the
/pub/pc/win3/util directory, there are a lots of Windows shells there,
including the one that I write!

Can you enter a February date via the DATE command yet?
