Hello Word Newsgroup

I have an interesting problem. My wife has just informed me that when she
types (") she gets a (@) and vis versa. When I tried it in my profile
everything worked as it should. I would like the keyboard to respond
correctly in her profile as well. Has anyone else come accross this and what
did you do to fix it? I am using WindowsXP pro and MS Office for WindowsXP.

Thanks in advance,

Arie

Would suggest you log on as your wife, then go into control panel, check
keyboard and regional settings are set to UK if in UK or US if in US etc.

Sounds to me like they are set different when you log in and change when
your wife logs in.

Regards
Karen

It could be she has some unintentional AutoCorrect going on. Check
for that first. If that doesn't fix it, try moving the Normal.dot
template out of her profile and onto the desktop. Then have her open
Word and try it again. If that solves it, her Normal template is
corrupt. It will mean she'll have to reset all her preferences,
though...
