I am trying tried to connect a 3.11 client to our NT LAN. During reboot
the network setup error 3658: the IFSHLP.SYS driver is missing occurs.
However the driver IFSHLP.SYS is installed and I also copied it to root,
WINDOWS and WINDOWS\SYSTEM directories.

In DOS the command NET creates the same result (i.e error 3658: the
IFSHLP.SYS). Windows 3.11 cant be started unless I substitute
Config.sys, win.ini and autoexec.bat by the original files.

Thanks in advance!

The IFSHLP.SYS driver must also be linked in the Protocol.ini file as one of
the four LANAs allowed on the NDIS driver. I don't remember the exact
linkage, but will look it up if you want. It'll be tomorrow before I can
check my WfW3.11 resource kit documentation.
