Can PFE search/replace Tabs

Alan,
I can't figure out how to make the Search and Replace dialog in PFE
work on a tab. Pressing the Tab key just takes me to the next box in the
dialog. How does one do this in PFE? (I need to either replace a tab with
another character like |, or replace a string of 2 spaces with a tab).

I replied to the direct mail version I got of Ann's query, but it might be
useful to note the answer here too.
You can specify special characters in the Find/Replace dialogs with '\'
notation: there's
\n end of line
\t tab
\f form feed
\xhh char with hex digits 'hh'
\\ single \
This applies to version 0.05.006 and later (current is 0.05.007). It's in the
help page accessed from the Help button in the dialogs, but I'll improve the
keywording to make it more findable.
