I encoded a quicktime file, *.mov, on a MacOSX system -- I do not know
what version of Quicktime--probably 5.0. I burned the file to a CD
using ISO 9660 format. I know that the file on the disk plays back
correctly on the machine from which I encoded the file as well as one
other Mac OSX machine. The problem is that it does not play back
correctly on the machine I now need it to play back on -- a Windows2K
(5.00.2195 - service pack 4).
When I open the file in Quicktime 5.0 in Win2k, I get the Quicktime
playback bar only--no video screen, not even black. When I press play I
can hear the audio, but there is no video--not even a black screen--just
the control bar. When I look at the file info screen it tells me format
for the audio, but says "None" in the video-format field.
Any comments or suggestions about how I can get this file to play back?
Are there any utilities that will tell me what video codec was used
on the file. Is Sorenson built into Quicktime?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
