In win3.x there was the recorder program in the accessories group that
you can do macros. I was wondering if there is a win95 version or some
other program that I can use to do macros. (Not ms word macros)

Thanks

The win3.1x applet Recorder is missing in Windows 95. There is no new
version. Hardin Brothers, in DOS World (April, 1996), says that (the
3.1x applet) Recorder "gets confused with all the new 32-bit
messaging" in Windows 95.

Our WinBatch has a keystroke recorder called WinMacro. You can download
a copy WinBatch from our site. WinMacro is in its own folder.

CE software makes ProKey, also a good keystroke recorder for Windows.

Often the Windows 3.1 recorder will work for W95 jobs.

you follow these two recomendations:
1) Minimize all windows, except the one you want to record macro's in,
then call up Recorder and start the recording process.
2) In 32-bit apps, the first keystroke should be one with a single scan
code, i.e. a space, escape, tab, backspace, a letter are all good, but
NOT arrow keys, function keys, Alt- or Ctrl-keys.

WOW, it has been more 16 years since the discussion published. I just want to say time flies! If someone want to know something about keytroke logger ,go to www.mysuperspy.com/keystrokerecorder.htm

I'm still wondering about METZ Lock/Screen saver-lock and the
METZKW.SYS (Metz-keywatch) spy capabilities.
