Internet Explorer version numbers & icon

I just downloaded Internet Explorer 3.01 in order to get the newsreader
portion. After the installation, however, the About info still says version
3.0. Actually 3.0[4.70.1215], to be exact. Does that seem right for the
correct result after upgrading (i.e., did it really upgrade?).
