Operating Systems list or FAQ.

Hello!

I think there used to be a
list of Operating Systems or
a FAQ with a list of O.S.es.

Does this exist?
Where can I find this?

Else, wouldn't it be nice to
have an O.S.es list of the
actual and maybe also the
older/deprecated O.S.es?

Every month new
systems are created,
hardware and software.

Customary, too.

I calculate, there are always
more and more Operating Systems.
How many are "born" each year,
how many do disappear?

The technical specifications;
if they are share, commercial,
or free;
home page URL, FAQs,
mailing-lists, USENET groups;
main applications, utilities;
required hardware or software;
etc.
are all interesting data to know.
