Some day we will switch to polycore processors(100x 1ghz core) and we
will need highly distributed computers with high speed connection to
other computers. Data transfer will be entirely encrypted, parity
checked, and all streams will be able to have full par2 like block based
p2p DHT. Media sources will have variable bitrates that can flex with
your connection speed. Distributed media will become the norm.
We need a new paradigm shift. We need a new Linux, approached from the
beginning to make it proper and distributed. And for that, we need a
better langauge, erlang, haskell, limbo, what have you. We need a
language as easy to write and understand as ruby with just as good of a
standard lib. And it needs to be distributed.
The time is near... and it will be free software that will do all this.
