Shipping old hardware is a waste of money, but if anyone wants use they
can send me instructions, or I am happy to setup some form of remote
access.
I have:
HP Netserver LH PRO:
Dual Pentium Pro Overdrives running at 333mhz each
512MB ECC EDO ram
6*5.4GB SCSI Disks
I need to get the specs for the onboard raid and scsi when I get home.
This could be usefull in anyone hacking on a SCSI system for minix3.
I also have 3 Dual Pentium 2 workstations, they also have scsi
controlers.
A Dell pentium 2 500mhz with 128MB SDRAM, IDE disk, pretty boring.
A celeron (pentium3 gen) running at 1ghz, 128mb ram, 2*128gb disks,
geforce 2
A SGI o2 (minix3 does not run on mips as far as I know, but someone
might be interested, although it seems like wasted energy)
A Apple iBook g3 500mhz, this could be usefull, powerPC is a great
platform.
I dunno how much demend there is for people interested in testing, and
older hardware, but if anyone needs any hardware specificly, send me a
mail and I'll see if I have access to it (my place of work has even
more interesting items).
So, anyone interested?
Whats the current focus of the project?

Ill take the SGI O2, and use Linux (plus ACK) to start in
cross-compiling. Ill need to rewrite lots of the C library, though, for
MIPS.
Any 486 or better laptops would be useful for testing, as my current 486
is used for linux/dos
Man, what are you calling old hardware? :-)
My fastest PC at home is a PII at 300MHz!
I used to have a 500MHz celeron, but it has recently broken down.
I am considering to make the jump to the PIII (600-1GHz).
Of course I keep my other boxes (8086, 8088, 286, 486, P90 and other
arquitectures ---mainly Sun boxes---) running several Unix-like OSs.

I can check the TV weather guru in a few minutes as that worthy often
refers to "out there".
