New mac or more Ram?

Ive got a 1,8 G5 mac with 512 Mb RAM. I doubt i would be better to
increese RAM in 1 Gb or to replace the machine by a 2x2Gh G5. Lookin at
the difference of money could anybody tell me something?

First off all, what is it you do with your laptop. In most cases it is
far more advantageous to simply upgrade you ram. i have an apple P4
that i use for field research in anthropology. I run programs such as
GIS, and specific mapping software. The apple was running a touch slow
so I upgraded the ram to 1gig of meneory and that solved the problem.
The up grade cost 485.00 Canadian, is it really worth the extra money
to purchase the G5? The use of your machine dictates what is needed. So
sit down and figure out what the use of your laptop is going to be and
then make the neccesary adjustments.
