Debugging mklinux kernel

Hi,

I am trying to get debugging output of mklinux kernel via serial
console. What I have done now is:

1.Built kernel with DEBUG
2. Hooked serial to modem port

Problem is that only thing that happens is +++ sings from kernel nothing
else(settings 9600,8,n,1) Any ideas what am I doing wrong?
