Hi there,

I try for one of my customer, to put a ("ghosted") image of a LynxOS V4.0 system on a new SSD.

At the beggining, each computer delivered to my customer was build around a Pentium M processor, and a 1Go SSD (Simpletech)and every thing worked perfectly, even in using ACRONIS (Ghost SOftware).

Because of EOL problems, we had to change this SSD for a bigger one, from an other manufacturers.

Thus, after putting the LynxOS ghost image on this new medium, then every thing works perfectely too, except around the use of "reboot" command.
In typing this command, after LYNXOS startup, then the SSD is not yet seen by the BIOS after the next restart. In this case, I have to power down, and restart the host computer.
If I make the same exercice, in typing Reboot -h, then Reset CPU (Push button) then SSD is correctely detected at each statup.

First, we think about a ghosting problem, but... we tryed to copying the system through "dd" command, from a good disk, to the new one ; it didn't change anything.
The same exercice had been done, in copying all files, from good SSD, to the new one, then mouting new SSD, and typing makeboot preboot... it did'nt change anything too.
This SSD do not present any visible equivalent issue, in using other OS, probably because ther is no equivalent command to "reboot" in LynXOS that promptly reset CPU, without any delay.

By the way, we know that every thing goes right, in using an other SSD, from a third manufacturer, with the same size en technology (SLC, 16GB).

We have already done Firmware update on the SSD... no results at all.

So... difficult to know, where is the problem...

The fact is this LynxOs Image, is made by my customer, and I do not have any possibility to do a global and clean install.
So... is ther any possibility to modify OS parameters, to be able to use this SSD? Any clear explanation?

Please help me !!
