Hello!
Installing xfree 1.2 on my linux (SLS99p6) system, I get a beep while
pressing the "# - key". I have an US-Keyboard and in text mode all went
well. And in X-Windows all went well except "#" (shift 3). Who has an idea?
Thanks in advance.

Well, on a ISC 3.01 system, I had (basically) the same problem, the # key
was gone, as well as the BackSpace key not working. I found that a
stty erase '^h'
took care of the problem, made my BackSpace key work, and gave me back
my # key. There is an app-default for XTerm, that will set it however
I've forgotten what it was. (Perhapse someone else?)

I don't know why or the proper fix but your # key has been remapped to
DELETE TO START OF LINE. Type 'stty' and it will show you. My solution
is to reset it to proper values in my .cshrc file.
