PEX and X-Windows on ATI Mach64

I try to get a program to run on an Linux-PC (Kernel 1.2.1, X11F 3.11)
w/ ATI Mach64/4MB as xhost server, that uses PEX. I recompiled the X-windows
server with PEX options, but no success.
Can anybody help me with hints on how to setup Linux for PEX?
