When I plug a joystick into the computer, the mouse pointer immediately
starts to drift, and in some applications, the windows contents start
scrolling downwards, so I can only see the top lines of documents.
Presumably, this is because X is interpreting joystick input as pointer
movement. Is there a way to disable this behaviour? I don't want to use the
joystick for general pointer control (I have a separate mouse for this).
However, I might want to use the joystick for other applications that
specifically make use of a joystick (such as games).
