Transparency problem with Xorg 1.12.4 on Intel GM965

Hello.

This is on an Intel GM965 video chipset.

I'm running sawfish as a window manager, but I tried with xfwm4 and I
have the same problem: when I pop up piedock, it should show a wheel
of icon on the root window, but instead they appear on a big black
square; clearly a transparency problem (I have the same problem with
lxpanel).

I looked into /var/log/Xorg.0.log, I have compositing, opengl, every
acceleration possible activated.

I re-emerged every library linked into piedock (png, Xrender, Xext,
etc.) and piedock itself but to no avail.

Does anybody have the same problem? Is it a library or a video driver
problem?
