My systems here are fitted with ATI Radeon 9200 video cards.

On Debian Lenny, if I run:

xvinfo from a terminal windows, I get a reply:

X-Video Extension version 2.2
screen #0
Adapter #0: "ATI Radeon Video Overlay"

However, if run this on Debian Squeeze, I get the following output:

X-Video Extension version 2.2
screen #0
no adaptors present

This means that machines running Debian Squeeze can no longer play full
screen video without software stretching.

Is there some package missing or configuration setting that is causing the
"no adaptors present" message?

How do I force the ATI Radeon Video Overlay to be operative?

Mark.

I meant to say that I am using the open source "radeon" driver in all cases.
