xfilemanager 0.5 dies

Problem : xfilemanager doesn't work, it starts and then immediately
terminates (Slackware 3.0)
Solution:
1. Go to http://www.cdrom.com/pub/linux/slackware_source/xap/xfileman/
2. Download the files xfileman.tar.gz and Xfilemanager.diff.gz
3. Untar and patch dir.c with source from xfilemanager.diff.gz
(cut and paste).
4. Recompile the binary. See instructions in the included documentation.
The above worked for me and it runs well.
