Creating a New Project and Entering the General Data
To create a new project in Ecodial 4.2, you need to launch the software and click on the "New" button on the toolbar or select "File > New" from the menu. You will see a dialog box where you can enter the name of your project, the country of installation, the language of the report and the currency of the cost estimation. You can also choose a template for your project from a list of predefined examples or create your own template.

After clicking on "OK", you will see the main window of Ecodial 4.2 where you can enter the general data of your installation such as the voltage level, the frequency, the type of system earthing, the diversity factor, etc. You can access these data by clicking on the "General Data" button on the toolbar or selecting "Edit > General Data" from the menu. You can also modify these data at any time during your project.

Adding and Editing Components
To add components to your installation, you need to use the component palette on the left side of the main window. You can drag and drop components from the palette to the schematic area or double-click on them to open a dialog box where you can enter their properties. You can also copy and paste components using the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V or select "Edit > Copy" and "Edit > Paste" from the menu.

To edit components, you need to select them on the schematic area and click on the "Properties" button on the toolbar or select "Edit > Properties" from the menu. Performing Calculations and Checking Results
To perform calculations for your installation, you need to click on
the "Calculate" button on the toolbar or select "Calculation > Calculate" from
the menu. Ecodial 4.2 will automatically check your installation for errors
and warnings before performing calculations. If there are any errors or warnings,
you will see a message box where you can view them and correct them if necessary.

After performing calculations, you will see a summary of results on
the bottom right corner of the main window where you can view information such as
the total power demand, the total cost estimation, the maximum short-circuit current,
the minimum voltage drop, etc. You can also access more detailed results by clicking
on different tabs such as "Load Flow", "Short Circuit", "Voltage Drop", etc.

Ecodial 4.2 allows you to check various aspects of your installation such as
the thermal stress in cables, the discrimination of protective devices,
the cascading of circuit breakers, etc. You can also perform manual and alternate solutions
