Hi Folks

i am running Linux Debian 2.2r6 with kernel 2.4.18, standart FTP & Telnet
Server and apache WEB Server.
Locally i can access to the Linux Box without any problem to all servers,
accessing from internet is not possible. The router itself is configured
properly (my windows webserver is working fine!)
there is no firewall installed :-))
hosts allow (deny) are standard and it seems well configured

with ifconfig it is shown that some ip packets are arriving, but nothing is
send back, or dropped
it seams that something is blocking accessing from public IP's... :-(( damn

has anybody an idea, what the problem is?

thank in advance

Roger

what is the setup of your network... how does the router knows where to
route packets depending on ports?

You forgot to say which Zyxel router and whether you have multple public
IPs passed through, or single public IP with SNAT. If the latter, how do
you get http (port 80?) to go both to your Win web server and Linux? Do
your Zyxel log, apache logs or /var/log/messages say anything about the
attempted connections?

BTW for access from the internet, it is much safer to use ssh and scp than
telnet and ftp. Any of these services (except http) have to be
specifically allowed in hosts.allow if a catch all denies them.
