Hello, all, and the latest info I gleaned from the WWW on subject would
appear to indicate that thumbnailers are a network security issue and
Fedora 27 distros now have sandboxing incorporated using a utility known
as "Bubblewrap" that enforces this. I had previously tried temporarily
disabling SELinux but that didn't enable thumbnailing. So now in
addition to to Nautilus 3.26.3.1-1, Gnome Desktop3 3.26.2.1 and
gdk-pixbuf2 2.36.11-1, I also have Bubblewrap 0.2.1 on my Fedora 27
laptop. So I still don't know if it's possible to get
Nautilus/gdk-pixbuf automatic thumbnail generation working (abeit
sacrificing some security) on this platform. My GConf/Dconf settings
are set to permit thumbnailing. Sincerely,
