Hi,

On last two day my server became very slow and I had to reboot it.

The syslog log shows several oom-killer messages like :
(sorry for long lines)

Feb 1 01:10:06 emf kernel: [1002068.392214] fail2ban-server invoked oom-killer: gfp_mask=0x201da, order=0, oom_adj=0, oom_score_adj=0
Feb 1 01:11:16 emf kernel: [1002147.304571] /usr/sbin/apach invoked oom-killer: gfp_mask=0x280da, order=0, oom_adj=0, oom_score_adj=0
Feb 1 01:12:37 emf kernel: [1002227.988166] mysqld invoked oom-killer: gfp_mask=0x201da, order=0, oom_adj=0, oom_score_adj=0

along with many more very cryptic lines.

Is there any chance for me to diagnose anything ?

Thanks, Jacques

Those are side effects of running out of memory. They may or may not have
any relation to an ill behaved process.
While the system is running and responsive keep tabs on free and ps to
find the culprit(s) using too much ram. Especially as the system slows down.

Ok, will try it if it occurs again.

Thanks for the hit.
