Sitting in front of me is product from InfoMagic called Workgroup Server.
It says that its based on kernal 1.2.13, Red Hat Comercial Linux, netatalk,
and samba. Has any one used this package? Was it any good? I've been a
slackware user for over 2 years now and know the in and outs of it but Red
Hat I haven't touched. Is there such a big difference? Is it going to
cause me problems upgrading the kernal for example?

TIA

Upgrading Kernal?? What kernal are you running?

Get all pariculars of your current Linux and then ask Infomagic about
installing. I think this product was meant to be installed on a
'clean' system as a stand alone server and if that is how it's used it
should be solid.
