I am having a strange problem, and I am in need of help.
I am connection up to the RH7.0 server from a X session. When I attempt
to start WordPerfect I get the following error??
_X11TransSocketINETConnect: Can't get address for tcmus1.kenosha.org
I am using DNS, and I can resolve the address no problems with
nslookups, both the hostname and the rev IP.
The DISPLAY variable is correct:
DISPLAY=tcmus1.kenosha.org:0.0
To correct the problem I can change the DISPLAY variable to be the IP
address:
DISPLAY=10.10.10.11;export DISPLAY
Or I can put the tcmus1.kenosha.org in the /etc/hosts tables.
Both situations seems to correct the problem. But I need to work from
the hostname and have it resolved.
The strange thing is that I have (2) other servers that are both running
RH7.0 with WordPerfect, and I can connect to them and everything works
fine there??
What am I missing to make the server/WordPerfect resolve the hostname??
Thanks in advance for any/all suggestions.

Wierd, error, but placing the IP address into the /etc/hosts file should solve
your problem.

Check to make sure that all the resolving is working correctly and that you
allow both TCP and UDP back into the system.
See ya
