Wireless under Redhat 9.0 and Slackware 9.0

As are most others in the Linux community, I'm tired of jacking around
with hardware vendors who refuse to support their products with Linux
drivers. I have an Intel Pro 2100 in my Toshiba laptop and D-Link Air
Extreme in my desktop both of which have no drivers (not that I can find
at least) for operation under Linux. Does anybody have a suggestion for
replacement of these dogs. I know there are some out there but I would
be grateful for any personal satisfaction testaments for any wireless NICs.

I have got this working with the driverloader from linuxant.com using
the XP driver that came with the card version 7.0.0
Have a linksys access point.

There where no big problems in getting it working, only getting the
syntax of the linksys ap correct. The iwconfig and iwlist commands
found the ap right away.
Used Managed mode

Did the usual updates for redhat 9 kernel,
