Won`t intall because it needs perl(JSON::XS)
rpmfind has a perl-json-xs for el9, but that in turn complains about
some other perl shit that is missing

I think I have installed it in a dozen distros, but Red Hat can't be
fucked providing such useful utilities.

Well, yes and no.

You must have the EPEL repos enabled.

To the OP. You need to enable the EPEL repos:
https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/9/Everything/x86_64/Packages/i/
inxi-3.3.19-1.el9.noarch.rpm 2022-06-28

Hmm, Interesting. I can't find it in the rpmfusion tree, so. I didn't
think it was part of Fedora base. But TBH I was referring to Alma, not
specifically Fedora. Just assumed they'd be the same. I have to use EPEL
to get it in Alma.

I got the epel repo back on August 10, and it is enabled.
But still cannot install inxi.

You need to enable the crb repo as well. It is more or less what used to be "Power Tools".
