mc does have a tedious undelete. I recall it is based on date-time &
not by filename(?); if the delete was some time back & not overridden,
it is possible for recovery IF one remembers the date & time of the
"oops".
I was able to recover some files nearly immediately after the linux
system did what I told it rather than what I really wanted......
However, it had been several years back & the feature may not be
present anymore.
