Hi,

The manufacturer of the Xboard 49 ( http://www.emu.com/products/product.asp?category=532&subcategory=533&product=13558 )
does not list Linux as the OS compatible with his product.
However I've tested it with the kernel 2.6.30 and everything works perfectly.
I was able to connect the controller to Fluidsynth, Timidity, Rosegarden.
I also was able to capture the MIDI data stream and use it to controll
my own experimental synthesis software.
The only weak point is that the firmware update seems to require the Windows
machine ( http://www.emu.com/support/files/download2.asp?Centric=768&Legacy=0&Platform=1 ). Maybe it works with Wine, but I haven't checked it.
