This could apply to any OS, so here goes.
I have a Citizen GSX-230 dot matrix printer. The printer complains
vociferously (to the point where it won't print) if you switch the lever
to friction-feed (as opposed to tractor-feed), while the tractors are in
what it calls "push" position. Citizen's idea is that we remove the
tractor unit (containing two shafts and a gear or two), rotate it, and
re-install it in the "pull" position. I needed to print on some
plain paper a while back, so my wife removed the tractor unit. We
couldn't get it back in, but we discovered the printer works mostly OK
with it out.
Now, we have pinfeed paper and I can't get it in so the gears mesh.
Anybody dealt with this or a similar printer, who can give me a tip?
