We're having the problem referenced in:

http://www.supermicro.com/support/faqs/faq.cfm?faq=8665

We've installed the referenced BIOS (which still calls itself v1.2, but
has a later timestamp than the "real" v1.2). But, using WD10EADS-00L5B1
drives (Western Digital "green" 1TB) drives, the system still refuses to
successfully boot.

Has anyone any experience with this? Is there a better BIOS version, or
do Seagate drives work, or ... anything?

Note: The system is fine - even with the new BIOS - using 160G drives.

Thanks...

Andrew

No, we're not. I just tried a model WD7500ADDS - another Western Digital
"green", this time of 750G in size. It too failed.

Can this motherboard not handle "green" drives? Would that make a
difference?
