For one of our customers we are looking for a experienced linux driver
developer on a freelance basis


Minimum experience
5 years of very strong Linux development.
Educational background
IT education (University education in software engineering with
outstanding academic grades, or equivalent work experience).


Required
* Working knowledge of the Linux kernel. Fully competent level in the
development of low-level software (drivers) for specific
wireless-based applications. Examples of such developments are LCD
frame buffers drivers, WiFi Ethernet drivers, USB driver bootloader,
SDRAM initialisation, power management, bootloader customisation, etc.
* Knowledge and understanding of Software development life cycle, with
particular focus on software development, programming and testing
methodologies.
* Effective knowledge of code debugging, optimisation (performance,
memory, threading).
* Highly-desirable skills: Linux, TCP/IP, performance tuning &
testing, multithreading, embedded software, memory management,
non-functional requirements, etc.

Location of work: Belgium full-time
Date of start ASP
Duration until September 2004, on time and material base
