Gravis Ultrasound PnP

I am wondering exactly what support is available for the gravis ultrasound
PnP, and what mones are available. As a previous owner of a GUS Max, I
would like MAX compatibility, or to find someone who would sell me their
max. :)

P.S. Gravis was not very helpful after I mentioned that I can not use DOS
and Win95 drivers... they gave me a "Oh, you a Linux goob" attitude... But
the MAX was great.

I think there is support for the GUS PnP, but probably only in the
commercial version of the USS (Unix Sound System) driver. If it works
for you (they have a test version) then I would recommend you bying it
(only $20).

Hmm, I seem to recall that a GUS-specific sound driver had support for PnP
also (though I'm not 100% sure). Look for the 'ultra' package (eg. on alta
vista with keywords "gus linux driver" or something...

There seems to be partial support from USS/Lite:
excerpt from /usr/src/linux/drivers/sound/Readme.cards:

GUS PnP (with RAM) is partially supported but it needs to be initialized
using DOS or isapnptools before starting the driver.
