Typical of Linux Planet, it's a 2-page article. 8-(

It should also be noted that TurboPrint is payware
--but because it gets so many folks out of a bind,
I wouldn't kick too hard about that.

They treat it like a newspaper with artificial limitations like pagination.

Verily I say unto thee, that JeffM spake thusly:

It started out many years ago as a printing utility for the Amiga (and
others like the Atari ST). It was extremely good back then, but I'd have
to question how necessary it is today, on any platform, given the
existence of CUPS. Certainly I've never needed anything but CUPS (and lp
before that) under GNU/Linux.

If I'd ever been unlucky enough to buy a printer with no Linux support,
I'd return it for a replacement model that did (most British retailers
have a so-called "goodwill" return policy of at least 7 days, for
non-perishable goods). Then again, I've noticed that many printers
explicitly mention Linux support on the box anyway, so again I don't
foresee any problems, and don't think proprietary utilities like
TurboPrint are really necessary.

The same can be said of NEROLinux, which seems a complete waste of time,
considering the very mature state of disc burning under *nix systems,
and very feature-complete front-ends like K3B.
