| I took it into a shop [the Xbox], there was a guy back there and I asked
| him and he did it for me [chipped it]. He charged £75 to get it chipped
| but at the end of the day I said to myself I'll pay £75 to get it
| chipped, after two games I've paid the money back.
`----
When his xbox was cut off from online gaming for using pirated games the
freetard had this to say:-
,----
| I was pretty distraught at the time, I can't remember exactly what it
| said but I saw the words 'banned' and I was gutted, completely gutted.
`----
And like a true freetard he thinks that everyone should get all
games. Saving up and buying things he can afford does not appear to be
on his agenda:-
,----
| Fair enough, one game once in a while but the amount of games coming
| out, good games, everyone wants to play them all. And for them to pay
| £50 a game?
`----
It's classic freetard behavior!!
This guy is a natural for Linux and I'll bet the Linux freetards are trying
to recruit him as a member of the cult as we speak!
If he doesn't like paying 50 for a game he should take a look at what that
game cost to develop and produce.
Please clarify how you make the link between this person and a Linux user?

Compared with Hollywood movies that cost 12 when released on DVD and then
drop to under 5 within 6 months and cost how much more or less than a game
to develop and produce (and are more likely to still be viewed by the buyer
in a year's time than most current games releases)?

Interesting comparison. However, the movie does make money in the
theaters, before being released on disk...
It's also a totally different market and the movie makes money year after
year where the life of a game, due mostly to technology improvements, is
much shorter.
These days making a quality game like GTA is like writing a book, making a
movie and writing a program all in one.
Once again you fail to actually read what you reply to. But since its
you here:
"This guy is a natural for Linux"
Try and work out his meaning.
What point are you trying to make? Don't like it? Don't buy it.
Sounds like we have unearthed another freetard.
Yea.
I read his reply a couple of times and didn't get it so I let it sit to see
what others were saying.
I think he has reached the point where even what he is reading, changes
right before his eyes in order to fit the agenda.
It's a sign of a true cult member.

But posting on a newsgroup 24/7 isn't? This must be the "serious work"
that Ray Lopez yammers on about for post after post after post.

I'm a very good multi-tasker.
Right now I'm mixing down, automated of course, some rare Puccini
recordings for a client.
That's the beauty of Windows 7 !
You become more and more obtuse, flatfish.
Let me summarize for you:-
1. I saw a "report" about an Xbox user, who had had his Xbox modified to run
pirated games. Correct?
2. This same Xbox user seemed to have complained because he had now been
stopped from doing so. Correct?
3. As far as I am aware, few if any Xbox models run Linux. Correct?
4. You, I believe, then suggested that "This guy is a natural for Linux and
I'll bet the Linux freetards are trying to recruit him as a member of the
cult as we speak!" Correct?
I am merely asking why you think that any Linux user would want to "recruit"
such a person, and you seem unwilling or unable to respond. Why is that?
Err no. That is NOT what you said. YOU said, and I quote, :-

Why would we Linux users care about an XBox gamer?
Perhaps "Hadron" is confused?

AFAIC we don't. He's a winzdoze freetard.

Once more Dumb Willy "me toos" and has NO idea what the thread is about.
Hint : it's not about "Linux users" per se. It's about Freetards. A
subset of Linux "advocates" here are self professed freetards.
Lets see if Dumb Willy can make the link.

But often modern games are also so full of DRM there is no later resale
value for the customer and no chance of digging it out for a retro play in
a few years time after the maker has shut down their activation servers -
often those pirating games are the same ones who bought the thing and are
trying to use what they paid for without all the extra baggage getting in
the way.
Since this is so "often", perhaps you could list the games where
activation serves no longer work and there are no patches to disable the
need? Take your time now ....
Perhaps you and I could come to an arrangement Hadron.
When I'm obviously talking to the organ grinder, perhaps you could let him
answer for himself.
In return, when I feel that I need input from his monkey, I will so
indicate.
I assume you will be using a banana for that purpose. :-)
Perhaps you and I could come to an arrangement Hadron.
Well, at least *you* don't seem to be confused, but possibly others are!
That reply of mine was intended for a different post by hadron in this
thread.
I've re-posted it so as to reply to the intended post.
My apologies for the blunder :-)
It gets more and more like something from The Two Ronnies in this group,
doesn't it? Perhaps time to move on to the difference between four candles
and fork handles? :-)
> I am merely asking why you think that any Linux user would want to "recruit"

You miss the point again.
In the first place you didn't say the above.
In the second place, Linux users be definition as a group are freetards.
Not all of them, but a good portion and especially the ones in COLA.
The reverse is not always true however.
So why would they want to recruit this guy?
Because he is bound to have PC and what better convert to the Linux
freetard cult than a person who believes he should be able to sponge off
(aka steal) the work of others.
The guy is halfway to the Linux cult already!
Get it monkey boy?
Now run along and try and get Ubuntu 9.10 karmic to boot or something.
Bingo!
We have a winner!!
Linux cult members, especially the vermin in COLA are by definition self
admitted "freetards".
However not all freetards are necessarily Linux cult members.
It went right over the goat fscker's head.
Now you're moving the goal posts.....
So are DVD's BTW, full of DRM.
Most of it has been cracked and re-cracked.
You're not going to have too many people interested in a 5 year old game of
Quake, well Linux users might be but they want it for free anyhow which is
another story.
However, movies never run out of style.
You're a complete idiot....And BTW you keep posting as bbgruff and Nigel
Feltham.
If you are going to troll, please try and keep your nyms straight.
You're not Terry Porter too are you?

They are idiotic trolls, that's why.

LOL.
And "organ grinder" is /so/ apropos.

You will be recognized and honored as a community leader.
Perhaps you should keep to the topic of the thread. If you are needed,
Roy will summon you.
You sure made a boob there!
LOL. Poor bbgruff. Obviously been hitting his Mom's "cooking sherry"
again.
Caught in the act.
Hilarious.
Wonderful.
YOU get it completely wrong. YOU then post to the wrong post with the
wrong nym (hahahaha!). and now Dumb Willy is in to pretend you were
right and I was wrong.
Fact : When Dumb Willy shills your posts you know you're in trouble
Nigel. I mean bbgruff ...
Yep...
Nigel Feltham = bbgruff
There is a twinge of Mark Kent in those posts as well....
Wasn't that hysterical!!!
It's just as funny as Terry Porter forgetting his review posted in COLA was
of Ubuntu and then getting involved in a Fedora 11 thread while talking
about Ubuntu 9.04 !!!
He really rushed out the Fedora 11 review as soon as he got caught bull
shitting.....
The Linux clowns are just not too bright.
I assume everyone has seen this, but in case anyone hasn't:

Another tragic case of COLA Amnesia. Roy frequently posts about XBox
here, and the "advocates" have declared his posts on topic for this
group.

Chris is so busy kissing Roy's arse he doesn't realise how much he
humiliates himself when sent out on the attack. His master flips the
doggy drops and Liarmutt stands on his hind legs with tongue lolling.

Exactly. And the troll "won" because it got a nice response to its
idiocy. Let the circle-jerk begin!

Another tragic cse of Timmy Twit Troll dishonesty.

Prove it, Timmy. Prove that we've defended Roy's posts as being 100%
on-topic. Prove that we even bother to read and think about 100% of
his subjects.
Idiot.
