Those fucking assholes at RedHat/Ubuntu (upon which most other distros
are based) emphasize only GTK+ or Qt GUI tookits. The consequence
of this is that most other graphical toolkits remain largely unknown
and underutilized.
But check out TkMan:
https://tkman.sourceforge.net/index.html
TkMan uses the fantastic Tk/Tcl scripting and widgets which are extremely
versatile and include provisions for just about everything from text
editing to image manipulation.
Tk/Tcl is being ignored by these "modernistic" distro maintainers
(i.e. fucking assholes) in favor of GTK+/Qt.
Well, fuck them!
Get Tk/Tcl. Get TkMan.
Use it and shut the fuck up.
Note: TkMan, being last released in 2003, does not decompress xz
or lzma or bzip2 man pages. But there is an easy fix that any
competent GNU/Linux user can discover.
Are YOU a competent GNU/Linux user?
Haaaaaaaaa, heeeee, ha, ha, ha, ha, heee, heee, ha, ha, ha!
