"Moral" or not, (government) guns control the money.
When they offer me some, I accept.

I go months without seeing either of my (shy) housemates.

Seattle gives me laws & lawyers to fight my (unlucky) landlord.

If my savings don't last 20 years, as expected,
I'll figure it out then.

You have savings? I thought you were anti-savings.

I'm ditching my savings because it's losing value; also:

-- I don't see work opportunities for me.

-- My landlord could triple my rent at any time.

Re: NickNaming "%" "Eskimo".

I've never heard the word "Eskimo" being used in a derogatory manner.

What tribe does he belong to, if any ?

Yeah, we've all had 20% of the value of our savings taken-away by the
fscking arseholes who shut-down the economy and then printed
$trillions to "stimulate" it. It sucks, for sure.

Pandemics suck hard. The stimulus bills were expensive. You're not
wrong to say that, but it is what it is. The inflation is due to more
than that, though, it's complex, and it was just what we had to face.
These are not easy times we're in, but God is getting involved.

True. And that is going to catch up with us very soon. Especially if we end up in WW3.

LOL !
He's too busy sitting on his crock pot.

>>-- My landlord could triple my rent at any time.

True.

My suggestions:

Find a bank with high interest rates. Capitol One and Synchrony come to mind.
Buy iBonds.
Buy a short term CD, like 11 months. Rates are high.
Treasury Bonds are another good source.
Gold and silver. Especially silver.
Diversify your portfolio.
Find a place where property values have plummeted because they were overpriced to begin with and
buy low.
Stay away from stocks unless they are S&P 500 and even then, don't unless you have money to burn
and have some idea what you are doing.

Personally I believe we are headed to a recession and then a full bore depression as we no longer
manufacture enough in USA and China has us by the short hairs. And once they invade Taiwan, and
they will, there goes our chip supply.

You aren't going to make up the extra 20% inflation is causing but you can recover some of it.

The rent control BS is a *really* bad move.

We just need to build more housing, in this country. It's bad already
and only getting worse. Maybe let immigrants in if they commit to
building homes for five years or something.
