Report: FTC to go after blogger freebies
by Caroline McCarthy

The Federal Trade Commission is planning to crack down on
bloggers who review or promote products while earning freebies or
payments, the Associated Press reported Sunday.

This would, for the first time, bring bloggers under FTC
guidelines that ban deceptive or unfair business practices. [...]

The practice of free products for bloggers, most of whom are not
bound by ethical guidelines that journalists have historically
followed, has been making headlines for some time now. Microsoft,
for example, created a wave of bad press a few years ago when it
gave free Acer laptops preloaded with Windows Vista to several
dozen bloggers.

This means that Roy Schestowitz would not be allowed to legally run his

This is another example - among thousands - why Linux "advocates" are
universally regarded as losers.

Between the EU chasing him and the USA banning him, Roy
Schestowitz is going to have to find some offshore island to set
up his SPAM operation on.

Hey, maybe he can purchase the now defunct PirateBay rig?

So where's your proof I or anyone else makes money "stalking and trolling"
comp.os.linux.advocacy, let alone enough to live on? You've just accused us
of that, so let's see some evidence. Or run away like Linux "advocates"
always do when they can't back up their inanity.

Stalk? What a joke.

And "slight mishaps"? If that's not a misnomer I don't know what is. We're
talking random, unexplained freezing for years now, through 4 or 5 versions
of that crapware. We're talking uptimes measured in minutes, 5 or 6 reboots
needed, systems that boot to black screens, updates that mysteriously crash
the computer, angry users that want to smash their computers, angry users
that can't get any response at all from developers, etc. And through it
all, Linux losers repeat their mantras: "Linux just works", "Linux is
perfect", "It works for me", "User error", blah blah blah

How much time do you invest in finding these Ubuntu forums posts to put

The workers don't get to see the $200 to $600 bill that turns up
on micoshaft's accounts department for each post. You don't get to see
anything because you just have to accept you are too stupid for the inner
circle. Its the middle men that profit by overcharging and siphoning the
money difference for criminal activities, international money laundering
and terrorism.

Asstroturfers fund terrorism with their income.

There is no audit that ties actual asstroturfing post with an
itemised bill which means they can over charge and use the surplus to

fund criminal activities like botnets, credit card fraud and terrorism.

Botnets now in extensive use as subversive criminal communications systems.
If botnets are taken down, the asstroturfing communication networks go out
of action with the spamming networks. Like when McColo in US got taken
down. They *must* locate in US otherwise the network filtering becomes too
vigilant against traffic originating outside the US.
