EVMS. How to install? Manual too large, and usage is fuzzy.

Hello, there is a very, very long manual, about EVMS.

Sometimes too much information kills the information, this may be the case
here.

It would be nice to have a simple manual, limited to Linux only, and with
very basic questions covered in the FAQ, or HOWTO.

Simply, I have an existing system, and would like to use EVMS to extend one
of my partition (too small now) and this one happens to be the root
partition.

Hopefully someone understand EVMS a describe very consisely (say <10 lines)
if it is possible, and how to do it simply.

No need to describe the install (the manual covers this ok) just the use.
