On my former OS/2 Warp 3 computer, when I set it up many years ago, I
managed to create a DIRECT directory which allowed Windows NT (and,
more recently, XP) to print to LPT1 and have the result spooled by
OS/2.

I upgraded my computer and am now using OS/2 Warp 4. I am having
problems setting this back up. When I try to create the port (an XP
local port named "\\servername\direct\lpt1") I am told that access is
denied even though the P is shown in the ACL for the * user (the only
user, and "\\servername\direct", although it does not work when I try
to print, is allowed by XP, so access is not denied to the directory,
implying that the XP is using the * user). I have tried it with all
ACL items listed and with none but P and with WC and P, to no avail.

Anyone remember how to do this? Thanks for any help
