Has anyone else been experiencing KR-09 errors within GEODraw. I
have a GEODraw document which has a large scanned image and also contains
three different fonts. When I choose all the objects and choose copy(to copy
it into GEOWrite), I get a KR-09 error everytime.
I have the number of handles set to 3500 and the swap file and page
size are at 4096. Also, the only other application is GEOWrite. The
machine is a Compaq Presario 486SL 25 with 4M of RAM.
I use GEOWrite alot with somewhat complex graphics and I never have
any problems -- GEOWrite seems alot more stable than GEODraw -- at least in
my case.
Does anyone have a solution or suggestions? Copying each object
individually isn't a good idea since I need the exact alignment.

-Thanks,

I have rarely seen KR-09 errors either on my 286 1M running DRDOS 6.0 or on
my 386 running MS-DOS 5. I have seen KR-07 and "Press E to exit cleanly."
Usually, my system just locks up tight without displaying any message. I can
duplicate this simply by having GeoPlanner and GeoComm open when I exit to
DOS.

I have experienced problems with large/complicated GeoDraw documents because
I ran out of disk space for the three largest files when editing such
documents: swap, clipboard and the back-up file for what you're currently
working on.

You might try clearing the clipboard before you select the draw elements. Do
this by cutting a single letter. (Have you ever cut/copied a graphic but
when you pasted it GW pasted the graphic that was already in the clipboard?)
Another little trick I learned from this group is to group the objects
before you copy/cut. This seems to use less resources.

Good luck.
