Would it be possible to write in NewBasic, a MP3 front end for a DOS
command line MP3-player? To be used in the meantime when waiting for
GEOS32?

There is a free dos mediaplayer that also does play mp3 amongst other
things and it has a software interrupt interface. I dabbled arround
doing some sort of component to call some generic interrupts but i never
could decide on a design that made a bit of sense for NewBasic
developers. Maybe i should have stayed with just that player's
functions? Ah well. long time ago.

You can of course do a interface for mplayer or some such that accepts
all at command line including playlists. I have a somewhat working
simple frontend but it's awkward and not much use. Remember, the
fileselector of newbasic is a mess and you have to do plenty of cleaning
up etc etc and it's just yuck... nah...

GEOS32 comes along well i hope... that is if someone has time to work on
it i guess :-)
