I do not believe that v1.30 will run successfully under Windoze95.
There is a current edition (1.44?) that I am told is more compliant.
I cannot tell you about 22Nice.

I don't know about the Win 95 issue, but 22DISK will suport drives
that the OS doesn't even know about. I have an 8" drive on one system,
which I use with 22DISK, and I don't even have a drive type set in the
CMOS. 22DISK likes it just fine. I am running DOS 5 on that machine.
Okay, this post doesn't have anything to do with 22disk and I can't offer any
firm advice. However, I'm pretty sure it's may a problem with processor speeds
or somesuch than strictly the OS. I created a bootdisk with DOS 3.3 on it and
tried to use PC-Alien (a similar sort of program) on:
- Cyrix P150+ / Win95 : didn't work.
- Cyrix P150+ / DOS 3.3 : didn't try it.
- Intel 486DX2 / Win95 : didn't work.
- Intel 486DX2 / DOS 3.3 : didn't work.
- NECV20 (an 8086 clone) / DOS 3.3 : it worked!
Where it didn't work, I was getting sector not found and all sorts of goofy
errors. I'd imagine this would be pretty true of 22disk (maybe). I'd try
PC-Alien on a 386SX-33, but unfortunately my 386 presently doesn't have a
floppy drive attached..
I can't imagine what might be influencing the problems, but, it might help to
see if you can locate a cheap XT box (or even better, an XT luggable; better
on your storage space).
Best of luck :).
