First Year MITS Altair 8800 for sale

This Altair 8800 was built in 1975 by its current owner. It has some
slight discoloration on the upper right case top, a small amount of rust
on the transformer, and the on/off switch is broken off. It does not
run, most likely due to the switch or the transformer, either of which
should be simple to repair. It was in working order when last used
several years ago. All soldering points, wires, switches, leds, et
cetera are intact and it is very clean.

$1,400 for a non-working 25-year old computer ... wow!

I wouldn't laugh too hard. An Altair usually goes for $2500 - $4000 in
the past.

They are hot items.
